A vote for Obama.

Yesterday i was driving south on 580 just having crossed the Oakland Bay bridge. There was little traffic and I was going 5 miles above the speed limit whatever that was. Suddenly, the SUV in front of me swerved left, crossed two lanes and hit the cement divide. As it was flipping over in mid air I thought about the election and how the legacy (in my 60 years) of Eisenhower, Nixon, Kennedy, Ford, Carter, Reagan,Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2 (did I leave anyone out) has to change. I’d like to be able to vote for someone who wishes not at all to be President… an artist like Mike Bidlo or Eva Hesse, but she’s dead. I’m not impressed with McCain for what he did in the Vietnam war. I’m old enough to remember what sensible
people his and my age did. NOT GO TO WAR. at any cost. Like country Joe and the Fish said “I’d rather stay at home and screw your wife”. So all this ra ra about McCain and his war record…no thanks.
My daughter leah lived in Chicago when Obama was there and she has only good things to say about him. My daughter, Willa asked me to join her in Las Vegas in the beginning of October to canvas for Obama. I’m doing it with glee. All my good friends and others who thinks its hip or excusable NOT to vote. That their vote doesn’t effect anything best look again at this photo because this is the car wreck the country has sustained since my lifetime.
I suspect everyone I send this to knows and feels the way I do but maybe you will turn around and send something to everyone you know so you can sleep at night.

Please don’t vote for McCain. vote Obama
