Here is the zesty Nicki Hunter at a fundraiser held in her honor last night. Hunter begins another round of chemotherapy today and was in high spirits when this picture was taken.
“I didn’t know how many friends I had until I got cancer,” Hunter said. A large number of adult business employees turned up for the event, and the great thing was that, since most of us have rooms full of pornography at home, the raffle prizes we won (donated by Elegant Angel, Black Market, and Red Light District) were re-gifted to poor slobs not as lucky as us. So everyone benefited.
Despite the loss of nearly 20 pounds (including two pounds of great porn star hair), Hunter looks great. She is alternating between several wigs, including a short red one and a lustrous black one, but will shoot a bald photo session with the photographer Lithium Picnic after this week’s cycle of chemo.
Her partner, Josh, said that Hunter is comfortable going around bald but she didn’t want to shock people. “We want to take her to a Star Trek convention and really do it right,” he said.
Hunter chose the blonde wig because she said most of her fans know her as a blonde.
“I didn’t want to freak them out,” she said.
