I met her in 2003 when we booth just had come to L.A. - she is from Oregon and I am from Germany. Today we were just talking about how we had that in common. We moved from an end of the world place right to the center of it all. This is quite a shocking experience when you come from a small town where you know pretty much everybody and everything and all of a sudden you can’t trust nobody.
I remember 5 years ago when I first came to SoCal. I didn’t speak much English and I also thought the USPS mail boxes were trash cans. Kimberly and I shared a tiny ass room at Spiegler’s apartment and when I say “tiny” I mean it. It was better than sleeping on the couch with 3 other chicks. Kimberly and I were inseparable, everybody made fun of it. And then there was the time when Kim and I were driving in heavy traffic down on Topanga Cyn Blvd and she was in the co-driver’s seat playing with a pocket rocket or the time when we were in the Denny’s parking lot at 3 am in the morning and a guy wanted to get our attention and when we blew him off he called us “Oregon cunts” because of Kimberly’s car that still had an OR license plate.
